Who are our brides?

Not every photographer will be a match with you. Their style, personality, experience...are all factors that should be considered in determining which one to hire. Bottom line, you need you like your photographer, and you need to trust your photographer. The both of you will be in close contact throughout your entire wedding day. At the same time your photographer must strive to do their best work each and every time, they must want to share and feel the importance of the day with you.

Are you a Joe Dayian Photography bride?

Call us if you answer YES to the following questions:

1) Photography is very, very important to me.
2) I wish to work with a professional.
3) I want to develop a friendship and trust with my photographer.
4) The following Kodak Commercial brings a tear to my eye :)

The New Web Site:
What's old is new again.

We're tired of the flash based, everyday, generic, cookie cutter, template based web sites out there for photographers. No matter how different they all claim to be, they're all the same. So we're re-doing the entire site, and going old school. More text, more type, more content, and more depth.

We won't showcase our 25 best images that you constantly see on other photographers sites. We want to help in selecting your photographer for your wedding, with real info, not just pictures. So go ahead browse this page, you'll find many of your questions answered.

We do realize you need to see our work as well, so we've also added a few "Real-Weddings" and a few "Real-Engagement Sessions" for your viewing pleasure. Just click on the pictures.

If you feel you have more questions or want to contact us then please do so through our contact form at the bottom of the page, or call us directly at 461.402.6138

Thanks for the visit, congratulations on your wedding day,and happy planning :)

Free access to wedding locations, including venues, golf clubs, and hotels, access to wedding photography locations at parks, golf courses, as well as urban locations, engagement photography locations around the GTA. There is also a vendors list. Follow this LINK to our "Resource Guide for Brides" and make sure you bookmark it.

Photography Style: How do we Describe our?

We at Joe Dayian Photography can break down our style when photographing a wedding into three categories
1. Wedding Photojournalism (70% of the day) a story telling style of wedding photography that involves minimal involvement and interaction of the wedding photographer. It allows the moments to unfold around them while using a creative eye to interpret these moments in a story.
2. Traditional Portraits (10% of the day) Mom and Dad want to display a traditional portrait of their children on their walls, you may want to have group photographs of your family. Whichever the case, it's important to get these family or traditional portraits done. Not the most fun but important, we'll make sure it's an orchestrated process and that both quick and easy.
3. Couture Wedding Photography (20% of the day) We came up this term to describe a style of wedding photography which involves some involvement from the photographer, along with off camera lighting to come up with a more fashion influenced style of image. But in honestly, we'll just have some fun for an hour or so.

The Viewing Gallery: It's a private affair.

We set up a private viewing gallery for all of our wedding clients, this web page gallery is private and password protected, and no one will have access to the images other than you and those who you want to share the password with. The Gallery will be online for your pleasure for up to six months after the wedding date.

Real engagement session - S&C

The Contract: Do we need one?

You should definitely demand a contract when hiring a photographer. It serves as protection for all involved. You get the details of the services provided, the pricing, the termination clause, etc. Don't hire someone without this in hand.

Wedding Albums: What do offer?

We offer two lines.

"The Wedding Album" - 10"x10" or equivalent size, a wonderful album telling the story of your wedding day from start to finish.

"The Estate Album" - A beautiful, large 11"x14" masterpiece with 80 to 90 pages. Careful though, once you get this in your hands you won't settle for anything less.

Both albums are of equal quality and both are:
a) Hand bound to last generations.
b) A fine art museum quality product.
c) They have a lay flat binding, panoramic spreads with no cuts.
d) Custom covers - leather, photo wrap, or a combination of both.
e) A unique choice, different than other album providers.

Pricing: And our "Collections"

We have a simple philosophy with our "Collections". We want to deliver great value for our clients.

Many factors go into the determination of the pricing of our "Collections" and a la carte items:
1) Limited Weddings: We only photograph a limited number of weddings each year, this way we can take the time and care needed to ensure every single couple that hires us is as happy as can be with the wedding photographs and their wedding photography experience.
2) Service: Having 25 years experience in the client services industry, we are fully aware of how important servicing the client is. We are available to clients pre and post wedding to help them in any way possible.
3) Consistency: Joe Dayian has been taking pictures for over thirty years, and through those years he has developed a consistency with his imagery. The style and beauty you see with the imagery in the sideshows located on this page is the style and consistency you will get when you hire Joe Dayian Photography to photograph your wedding day or your engagement session.
4) Post Production: We make sure that the post production process is smooth, consistent, and timeless, elegant. We don't want you looking back at your album 20 years from now and saying "that's so 2012" while creating images that are contemporary and now
5) Equipment: We use professional grade equipment with backups of that equipment.
6) Backing Ups: all images are backed up and duplicated no less than five times, with a back up held offsite as well. All images will be stored for a minimum 5 years.
7) Top of the Line Products: We have taken a great deal of time sourcing the best vendors and the best products. We believe our album, prints, frames... are the top of the line and equal to or superior to any other product in the marketplace today. We would be thrilled to meet and show you a few of our samples.

Our average wedding photography package ranges between $3500k and $5500k. Every bride is unique and has different wants and desires for her own wedding day, which is why every pacakage will be customized to fit your specifics.

We would be happy to send you a "Collections". For details, please contact us through our contact form at the bottom of the page or if you prefer call us directly at 461.402.6138

Thanks again,
Joe Dayian Photography

The Engagement Session: What you need to know.

You will be spending a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day so it’s really important you guys get along. An engagement session is the perfect opportunity for the couple and their photographer to get acquainted and get comfortable with one another. You get to know each other, and the photographer gets a really good idea of what the two of you like and don’t like from your photos.

Do you have a good side, a bad side? Is there a certain pose that makes you cringe? The photographer should take note of your personalities and quirks and you can give feedback about what you really loved, and what you only kind of loved.

The Location: The location can be anywhere you choose. You can pick the place where he proposed, the place where you had your first date, or some other location that holds a nostalgic, personal value for you. If you like, just pick a scenic spot; a recent trend has been urban scenes such as alleyways. It’s strange at first but you get to have fun and fool around. The wedding planning can be stressful so take this time to relax and let go. We'll help you come up with a location if you're not too sure.

The Dress: Wear something you love and that suits your personality. Make sure your dress fits your style. Nothing too flashy and loud and we prefer you avoid stripes and logos.

Choose outfits that are complementary in style; no need to match each other exactly though. Along with style, make sure you choose outfits that are comparable in dress. You may wish to bring a change of outfit for a different look, we definitely won't object.

Most important, HAVE FUN!

Don't Laugh I had one of these!
